How a Scriters project works
Six steps, each with an approval gate and a visible price. Built so you are never surprised by an invoice, a draft, or a rights clause.
- 1
Tell us about your book
Answer three quick questions and get a written quote, no sales call required. Prefer to talk it through? A free 30-minute discovery call is there if you want it, never forced. If the answer is 'you do not need us yet', we say so.
- 2
Fixed written quote
Within 24 hours: exact price, milestone schedule, deliverables, and revision terms. The quote is the contract's backbone; it does not inflate later.
- 3
NDA and kickoff
Confidentiality signed before you share your story or manuscript. Around 30% of the project fee starts the work.
- 4
Approval gates
Outline before chapters. Sample before full production. Cover concepts before final art. You approve each gate, and feedback rounds are already in the price.
- 5
Milestone deliveries
Work arrives in scheduled batches, each triggering its payment share only after your approval. You always know what is due and what it buys.
- 6
Full handoff
Final files, source documents, account credentials, and a plain-language manual. Everything registered to you: copyright, KDP account, royalties.
The ownership terms, in plain English
Transfers to you in full under a work-for-hire contract. We retain nothing.
KDP, IngramSpark, ACX, and ad accounts are created under your identity and stay yours.
Paid by retailers directly to your bank account. Scriters is never in the money path.
Manuscripts, source design files, and masters are all delivered. No hostage editions.
Common questions
What if I don't like the writing?
The gates exist to catch that early: you approve a voice sample and outline before full drafting, and two revision rounds are included. If the fit still fails, milestone billing means you have only paid for work delivered, and unused milestones are not owed.
Who actually writes my book?
A named human writer assigned at kickoff, whom you can interview first. One writer owns your voice for the whole project, with an editor behind them for quality. Writers are never swapped without your sign-off.
How is my idea protected?
NDA before discovery details are shared, work-for-hire contract on signing, and no portfolio use of your project without written permission. Confidentiality survives the engagement.
What happens if I want to stop mid-project?
You keep everything delivered and approved to that point, and you owe nothing beyond the milestones already triggered. No cancellation penalties, no ransom over files.
